The fox and the crow fable

One sunny morning, a crow found a delicious piece of cheese. he grasped it in her beak and flew to a nearby tree, settling on a branch. He was excited to eat it. A fox passing by spotted the crrow perched on the tree, holding the food in its beak. Feeling hungry, the fox thought to himself, “yum .” Knowing the reputation of the crow for being proud of its voice, the foxx decided to play a trick. He approached the tree and spoke to the crow, “Good day, dear crow! How beautiful you look today! Your feathers are so glossy, and your eyes sparkle like precious gems. But I must say, if your voice matches your beauty, you must be the finest singer in the forest.”

The Fox’s Deception

The crow was pleased to receive his compliments. All these compliments delighted the crow, who had never heard such praise before, convincing him he possessed a lovely voice. Consequently, he opened his mouth to sing. At that very moment, he dropped the cheese, and the Fox quickly grabbed it. “Thank you, dear crrow, for your beautiful song and the tasty treat,” the fox chuckled, trotting away with the stolen cheese.

The crow felt bad and embarrassed when it understood its error. It had been too proud and vain, which made it lose its tasty cheese.
